Solving word problems is a part of first grade math instruction. As we begin to introduce them we teach our students key words such as: all together, less than, in all, more than, took away, etc. Eventually we want them to have a deep enough understanding of what the word problem means that they can solve them even when these key words are absent.
In this packet are nine word problems that do not use key words for small group or work station activities. QR codes are provided for self check and work space to solve the problems.
