Who doesn’t love "Write the Room" activities? My kiddos LOVE them and are immediately engaged! With my new “Write the Room” activities, I have combined the love of technology and “Write the Room”!
You will need to make sure that your technology has a QR code reader installed. Then, just print out the cards, laminate and hang them around the room. Your children will navigate the room with a clipboard and their recoding sheet. As they write the responses on their recording sheet, they use the QR code on the card to “Self-check” and make sure they responded correctly! (When my kids are first learning to use QR codes, I partner them up! They help each other learn the procedure!)
If you would rather that your children don’t walk around the room, the cards can just be used as a “Task card” at a stationary center!
The activities are common core aligned. They cover the following standards:
Common Core standards:
RF.K.1.D- Recognize and name all upper- and lowercase letters of the alphabet.
RF.K.2D- I can isolate the beginning sound in words.
