Need a fun and engaging SELF CHECKING activity for your students to do during small groups? QR Codes! They are wonderful and kids LOVE them.
Never heard of QR codes? QR stands for QUICK RESPONSE. They are like barcodes and can be used with ipods, ipads, tablets, smart phones, and even laptops that have cameras. You can find a QR code scanner free in your app store. All your students have to do is work through the problems, grab a technology product mentioned above, scan the QR code.. and the answer pops right up!
In this activity you will find 16 cards asking students to compare fractions using <, >, or = of fractions with like denominators with different numerators and like numerators with different denominators. The students will record their answers on a provided answer sheet, self-check by scanning the QR code, and mark if they got their answer right or wrong.
I suggest laminated the cards for durability. I have included 16 color cards and 16 black and white cards depending on your preference as well as an answer key.
