After teaching several propaganda techniques, I put these six activity sheets around the room, and give each group an answer document. Each sheet contains a picture example of a propaganda technique. When the students scan the QR code, they are given a choice of four propaganda techniques. The students work in cooperative groups to discuss which propaganda technique is shown and write the technique on the answer document. I tape several answer keys around the room so that there is not a crowd around one key. In the end we discuss the key terms and visuals that helped students identify the correct propaganda techniques. My students enjoy learning and practicing using QR codes, and this activity gets them moving and communicating. Teachers can also use this activity in a literacy center or pull this activity up on the smart board to use as a whole class review lesson.
