QR codes for math task cards! Have your students review counting change with these 32 money task cards that include QR codes! Our common core standards ask second grade students to solve money story problems such as, "If you have 2 dimes and 3 pennies, how many cents do you have?" Use these money tasks cards with QR codes as a way for students to practice counting change before presenting them with money number stories. The QR codes are an exciting way for students to check their answers independently. They love using the QR code technology!
The common core standard 2.MD.C.8 states: Solve word problems involving dollar bills, quarters, dimes, nickels, and pennies, using $ and cents symbols appropriately.
To use as a money scavenger hunt, place the money task cards around the room in various locations. They might work independently or with a partner.
The money task cards with QR codes may also be used for centers as well. Students with iPads may use the QR codes to check their money answers.
