Description

This is a great resource to use in a literacy center to help your students apply their knowledge of special phonics patterns in words within sentences and show their comprehension of a sentence. Students should be able to recognize special phonics patterns while reading words by themselves and in sentences and stories. In this activity, students will be finding words with phonics patterns in sentences and then showing their understanding of the sentences by answering a comprehension question. They will then scan the QR code to check their answer. Students will LOVE using an iPad or iPod to check their answers- you only need 1 iPod or iPad (or any other device where you can download a QR scanner app) to complete this activity! Students will read the sentence, underline the special words in each sentence, write the answer to the question and then take turns scanning the QR codes to make sure their answers are correct.

*A non-QR code version is also included if you want to make sure your students understand the format of the activity before adding QR codes into the activity as well.
