QR Codes Scan It-Read It-Find It-Write It- Fry Sight Words
♥ Set 3 ♥
QR Codes are wonderful and kids LOVE them!!! They are a very innovative and fun way for students to learn many skills.
What are they? QR stands for “quick response”. They are like barcodes. They can be scanned with an iPod, iPad, a smart phone, or tablet. All you have to do is search in your App Store for a QR code scanner. There are plenty of free apps to choose from. I love the Android QR Scanner that I got for free. *Tip: Ask parents to donate their old smartphones.
In this activity, I have included the first 50 of the Second 100 Fry Sight Word List. Best for 1st and 2nd graders. The students will first scan the card with their iPod, iPad, phone, etc….
They will then read the word that appears on their scanning device (Very COOL). This set is actually better than my first 2 sets. They will see an image of the word (it’s better bigger font for those small eyes).
They will then search for the card that matches the word on their device (10 cards per set).
Finally, students will write the sight word on their student response sheet.
There are 5 sets of 10 words each set. Each is in a different color. Each set also has matching clipart. (Cute karate kid clipart)…
Response sheets are both in color and in black and white. You can laminate the color ones and have students use these with dry erase markers or make black and white copies.
Non Seasonal--Can be used ALL year long! (Cute karate kids clip art)
Please look at the preview so you can see exactly what comes with this activity.
