QR Codes - Short Vowel Word Families Literacy Center

This is a great resource to use in literacy centers to help your students practice identifying and reading words in the same word family. Students will LOVE using an iPad or iPod to check their answers- you only need 1 iPod or iPad (or any other device where you can download a QR scanner app) to complete this center! Students can each grab a picture card, find the matching word card (paying special attention to the matching word families) and then take turns scanning the QR codes to make sure their answers are correct. Students will also then sort the picture & word cards under each matching word family category and again scan the QR code on the category cards to ensure they have the words all under the correct word family. A recording sheet is included which also has QR codes to scan for more instant feedback and so that you know what students were doing while in the centers. You can also then see who is identifying words in the same word family or who struggles with the concept. This pack will provide your students with extra practice reading words and identifying words in the same word families.
