Need a fun and engaging SELF CHECKING activity for your students to do during small groups? QR Codes! They are wonderful and kids LOVE them.
Never heard of QR codes? QR stands for QUICK RESPONSE. They are like barcodes and can be used with ipods, ipads, tablets, smart phones, and even laptops that have cameras. You can find a QR code scanner free in your app store. All your students have to do is work through the problems, grab a technology product mentioned above, scan the QR code.. and the answer pops right up!
In this activity you will find 20 cards asking students to add the numbers 12 cards are subtracting 2 digit numbers and 8 cards are subtracting 3 digit numbers. The students will record their answers on a provided answer sheet, self-check by scanning the QR code, and mark if they got their answer right or wrong.
I suggest laminated the cards for durability. I have included 20 color cards and 20 black and white cards depending on your preference as well as an answer key.
I hope your class enjoys this activity as much as mine did!
