There are 24 QR Codes for your Listening Center as part of Literacy activities. These are independent listening activities, so students can listen to popular books being read, and then respond with a follow-up task.
So whilst you are teaching one group of students, another group can be happily engaged with these worthwhile tasks.
All you need to do is print, laminate and explain the scanning process.
These are SafeYouTube links, so there is no danger of pop-ups and advertisements.
Students scan the QR code, using a mobile device or computer, the code takes them to a story on YouTube for them to listen and enjoy the book.
In no way, do I think these codes replace physical books, but these are a great way for students to independently re-visit the story and listen again.
These codes and responses are for the books:
Are You My Mother?
Guess How Much I Love You
Green Eggs and Ham
Waiting is Not Easy
Cornelius P Mudd Are You Ready for Bed?
The Cat in the Hat
Hairy Maclary from Donaldson’s Dairy
Where the Wild Things Are
That is NOT a Good Idea
We’re Going on a Bear Hunt
How to Catch a Santa
The Very Hungry Caterpillar
Click, Clack Moo Cows that Type
The Pigeon Finds a Hot Dog
Should I Share My Ice Cream?
Hairy Maclary and Zachary Quack
Don’t Let the Pigeon Drive the Bus
Make Way for Ducklings
I Want To Do It By Myself
There are also three general response sheets, that will suit all books. I use these as "after listening" tasks.
