This is a unique way to give classroom rewards that are appropriate for junior high school students. Most students have a QR code reader on their phones (if not, several versions are available as free downloads smart phones or tablets). Instead of stickers or boring homework passes, I give out a QR code. There is some mystery in receiving one of these and it creates a bit more excitement and enthusiasm for earning rewards--students actually want them!
There are 4 different rewards in this set and they include: homework pass, listen to your iPod in class, leave me alone day, and free time.
There are two pages, which I copy front to back. I fill the back side out when I give them out so that students know what they earned the reward for and I know who it belongs to if I find it on the floor. This also helps avoid forgery and theft.
UPDATE: There were some technical issues and the codes were not working correctly. As of 10/9/13, this has been fixed.
