QUETZAL is a game that your students will ask for by name!
It is modeled after the game Qwirkle, but Quetzal uses Spanish verbs and special tense endings. Students play by having a 'hand' of 6 squares. The object is to play squares that match the squares already on the grid, and score the most points possible. You play squares by matching either the verb itself or the different conjugations. The concept is quite simple, the strategy is where it gets fun!
The game is for 2-4 players; print out as many copies needed for your class.
This particular game uses Hablar, Comer, Vivir, Ir/Ser, Saber, and Tener, in the preterite tense.
I am happy to create a custom game for you with different verbs, if you would like. Email me for more details.
Also, there is a physical version of the game for sale in my store, if you don't have time for the printing, laminating, and cutting.
