Huge Elementary Library Product Bundle!

This fun Bingo game will help your students review the different subjects found in each of the nonfiction Dewey sections in your library media center!

This download includes 32 different BINGO cards, “Pull” cards for the library media specialist, a tracking sheet and the directions page. You will need to provide bingo chips. I’ve also included a Dewey chart for you to copy and give to your students to use as they play the game. Use it or feel free to use something that you already use with your students!

Directions:
Print off the Bingo Cards and cut them apart. I printed mine on cardstock and laminated them for extra durability. Print off the “pull cards” and tracking sheet (again, I printed mine on cardstock and laminated them). I then keep everything together in a zipped bag.
Print off the Dewey Decimal Chart for students to refer to as they play the game. For an extra challenge, have them play WITHOUT the chart!

Give each student a Bingo card, some Bingo chips (you provide these) and the Dewey Decimal Chart. As you pull a calling card, you announce the column letter (either “Q”, “U”, “I”, “E” or “T”) and you may either announce the Dewey number itself (i.e. “300”), or announce a subject that would fit in that category (i.e., “Folk Tales”), or the title of a book (i.e., Little Red Riding Hood). You decide what’s best for you and your class!

A student wins by marking five spaces in a row (diagonally, up and down, across or four corners plus the center square). When the win, they must shout “QUIET!!" My students love this part! :-)

Have fun!
