If you've never tried a Quiz-Quiz-Trade in your classroom yet, you're in for a treat! This would be a great formative assessment to follow a mini-lesson about factoring differences of squares.
How does it work? Run copies of the file back to back and cut them apart. It's kind of like flash cards. The question is on one side, the answer is on the other.
Give each student one card to start with. When you say "GO!", students approach each other and quiz the other student with their card. If the student is correct, high five! If not, explain the correct answer. Once both students have quizzed each other, they TRADE cards, and find a new partner.
I usually tell them to continue until I say stop or continue until they have Quiz-Quiz-Traded with 10 people. It’s quick. It’s fun. It gets them moving. It gets them talking. It’s respectful! What more can you ask for in an activity?
