NO PREP – PRINT AND GO LESSONS FOR TEACHERS!!!!!

INTERACTIVE SLIDES FOR STUDENTS!!!

A great way to learn and teach INCORPORATING QUOTES AS SUPPORTING EVIDENCE!!!

*********************************************************************

Do your students have trouble supporting their ideas with evidence? Are you looking for a thorough way to incorporate both standards based and 6 Traits writing in your classroom routine? Here is EVERYTHING you need to start helping your students use QUOTES as SUPPORTING EVIDENCE today!

This lesson focuses on using QUOTES as SUPPORTING EVIDENCE. The students will be introduced to QUOTES and given various methods of giving proper credit to the author. Additionally, the lesson discusses the various methods of introducing QUOTES (transition mini-lesson) and how the use of QUOTES addresses all 6 Traits in Writing. Another aspect of the lesson is the use of a TRANSITION / EXPLANATION to determine a student's understanding of the QUOTE. Finally, the lesson includes NUMEROUS examples of sample paragraphs containing different QUOTES followed by TRANSITION / EXPLANATIONS. These sample paragraphs are included on the student worksheet, so the students can not only go the the SMARTBoard/White Board and make identifications, but also can make the same identifications on their worksheets.

SMARTBoard users will find interactive slides, while PowerPoint users can project the slides onto a regular white board and have the students use regular dry erase pens.
