For this project, students will determine if Qin Shihuangdi, the first emperor of China, should be viewed as a villain or a hero. Students will use evidence to form an opinion about the controversial, historical figure. For their projects, students can work independently or collaboratively. Their project choices include a poster or a dialogue. If students choose to complete the poster, they will include a combination of writing and original illustrations to represent Qin Shihuangdi as a hero and villain. If they complete the dialogue, then they will write a detailed and interesting conversation between two people, one who views Qin Shihuangdi as a hero and the other who views him as a villain.
Included in the Product
✓ An explanation and list of requirements for both options (poster or dialogue)
✓ A note-taking guide
✓ Two rubrics
