Need a fun and engaging SELF CHECKING activity for your students to do during small groups? QR Codes! They are wonderful and kids LOVE them.
Never heard of QR codes? QR stands for QUICK RESPONSE. They are like barcodes and can be used with ipods, ipads, tablets, smart phones, and even laptops that have cameras. You can find a QR code scanner free in your app store. All your students have to do is work through the problems, grab a technology product mentioned above, scan the QR code.. and the answer pops right up!
In this activity you will find 20 cards asking students to identify edges, faces, and vertices of three-dimensional shapes. Shapes include sphere, cylinder, cube, rectangular prism, cone, and a square pyramid. You will also find extra figures including a hexagonal prism, pentagonal prism, and many more!
I suggest laminated the cards for durability. I have included 20 color cards as well as an answer key.
I hope your class enjoys this activity as much as mine did!
