These quadratic function tasks will build the relationship between quadratic graphs, equations, and the real world stories they represent. Students get to see and create multiple representations of each quadratic function.
Included are four different task sheets. Each one gives a quadratic equation and a partially complete story. Students must graph the equation in order to complete the story. These tasks will get your students thinking about the meaning of each vertex and zero.
A blank template is included so students (or teacher) can create their own. Answer keys are included as well.
I love to use these tasks for group work or centers! Sometimes I place these tasks in sheet protectors and let students use dry erase markers. Then they switch and try a different one.
