This set of cards can be used to review the various ways of solving quadratic equations. CCSS HSA.REI.B.4 are emphasized. This would be a great activity for students in Algebra I or entering Algebra II.
Students will be asked to use various techniques to solve the quadratic equations such as factoring, completing the square and the quadratic formula.
Several cards also use real world examples of the quadratic equation such as find the time when a particle is at a particular height.
Each card has a problem displayed in the center of the card and an answer to another problem, in a magnifying glass, at the bottom right of the card. By using the 10 cards that have a red heart at the bottom you will have a 10 card scavenger hunt. Using the 10 cards that have a black club at the bottom you will have a different 10 card scavenger hunt. If you use the 20 cards with a blue diamond you will have a combined scavenger hunt.
