Engage your students and get them moving around while learning to solve quadratic equations. Be the guide on the side as your students move around the classroom solving quadratic equations and getting excited as they travel the globe in this fun scavenger hunt. It is self checking, too!
Print the cards and scatter them around the classroom randomly. Give each student/group a copy of the answer sheet with the globe. If you also want your students to show their work, I have included a student response sheet with room to show work and set up for easy checking.
To start, place the cut up the passport stamps in a bag. Students reach in and choose a country to start. They find their starting country and do the problem on that card. I did not specify which method to use. That is your choice. All answers are real and rational, and factor nicely.
The answer they get will lead them to their next problem. The problems vary in level of difficulty. They continue until they have completed all 12 stations and have returned to their first country. They also keep track of the countries they visit on the global recording sheet.
