This activity will get students thinking about real world quadratics and features of parabolas.
The activity comes with a handout to guide a discussion about how parts of a quadratic equation in standard form relate to objects that are thrown in the air. This page can be discussed as a whole class or in small groups. Then 12 cards are provided, which students match up (equation + story + graph). Answer key is provided.
