Description

The Roller Coaster Design Project applies quadratic functions to the real-world. Students explore the time and distance required for an actual roller coaster to fall from hits tallest hill. Students use this first activity as a guide for designing their own rollercoaster. Use this project as part of a quadratic function unit.

I. LOVE. THIS. PROJECT. We used Desmos for this. This looks great in the hallway and gives them practice with piecewise functions and intervals. I modified it for 7th grade to include only linear functions. LOVE LOVE LOVE
