Product Description
Vertex Form Quadratic Functions – Identify the vertex, axis of symmetry, extrema, and domain/range of quadratic functions in vertex form in this ♫ Musical Groups Activity.

Students each armed with one transformation card mingle around the perimeter of the room while music pumps in the background. Group worksheets lie around the room. The music stops and students rush to papers to form impromptu groups. Students record card contents, create a quadratic function with those transformations, and then identify the critical parts of the function. Names are recorded, cards are traded, and students return to the perimeter ready for the music to pulsate again.

★Common Core Standard: HSF.IF.B.4

♩ Note: This activity assumes students know how to write a quadratic function given the transformations.
