This is a double-sided notes page used to teach all of the quadratic transformations: up, down, right, left, narrower, wider, flip over x-axis and flip over y-axis.
The notes begin by having the student graph the quadratic parent function and describe all the ways the graph could be transformed. Then they sketch an individual graph of each transformation.
The back includes examples that can be used as guided practice to apply the quadratic transformations concepts. The first 3 examples give the student a quadratic equation and asks them to describe the transformations, graph using the transformations and describe the domain and range. The next 6 examples give the student the description of one or two transformations and asks them to write the corresponding equation. Finally, the last 3 examples give the student a transformed quadratic graph and ask them to write the equation of the quadratic. Key included.
