These interactive notes will introduce the concepts of quadratic and exponential graphs and equations.
Students will sketch graphs of real world situations. Students will then graph quadratic and exponential equations and observe the characteristics. They then use these characteristics to identify the real world situations as linear, quadratic, or exponential.
I use these notes in my algebra class to introduce functions that are not linear.
You will receive 2 pages of guided notes pages and an answer key with teacher notes in PDF format.
Common Core Standard:
Distinguish between situations that can be modeled with linear functions and with exponential functions.
