This worksheet is an excellent Thanksgiving activity in your high school classroom when everyone is ready for break and thinking about food! It is designed to mimic a restaurant menu, complete with appetizers, entrees, and desserts. You may choose to have students complete the entire menu, or choose a few options from each section. In the different sections of the menu, students will practice all the things they have learned about quadratics:
- identifying the vertex
- identifying the axis of symmetry
- finding the discriminant
- solving by factoring, graphing, and the quadratic formula
- solving real-life application/word problems, and
- graphing by hand.
When copying this resource, be sure to copy it double sided. It is intended to be folded like a tri-fold brochure. Fold them prior to the class period (if you have time!), or have your students fold them.
An answer key is included for easy grading.
