This is a double-sided worksheet covering the basic ideas of quadratics.
The first 3 questions, the student graphs the quadratic on their calculator, plots 5 specific points and then answers questions such as what is the vertex, zeros, axis of symmetry, domain and range, etc. On questions 4 through 15, the student is given an equation and asked to decide whether it describes a linear, quadratic or neither type of function. On questions 16 through 19, the student is given a table of values and asked to decide whether it describes a linear, quadratic or neither function. On questions 20 through 25, the student is given an equation and asked to describe the transformations performed on the quadratic parent function. Finally, on questions 26 through 31, the student is asked to rewrite the parent function given specific transformations. 31 questions total. Key included.
