This is a one-page quiz with 9 questions over particular topics having to do with Quadratic Functions.
On question #1 & #2, the student is given a quadratic equation and asked to describe the transformations that have occurred based upon comparing it to the quadratic parent function. On questions #3 & #4, the student is given the transformation and has to write the new equation.
On Questions #5 & #6, the student is given a quadratic equation, asked to graph it by plotting 3 points and then asked to state the domain and range. On Questions #7 & #8, the student is given a quadratic equation in vertex form and asked to identify the vertex, whether the quadratic opens up or down and then to sketch a graph.
Finally, question #9, the student is given an application question with a corresponding equation and asked to answer some questions such as maximum height of the ball and appropriate domain and range for the situation. Key included.
