This engaging riddle activity has students practicing the following skills:
**Finding zeros and their multiplicity from factored form of a polynomial.
**Finding zeros and their multiplicity by factoring (requires students to first take out a GCF of a polynomial).
**Finding the standard form of a polynomial, given the factors (3 problems have 3 zeros (complex zeros included) and 1 problem has 4 zeros (the 4th zero is 0).)
**Finding the solutions to polynomial equations by FACTORING only, (complex solutions included)
This activity is great for homework or independent work, as it is self-checking! If students don't see the answers they got on the back, they know immediately that something went wrong! As students find their answers, they will cross off boxes on the back containing their correct answers. When they have finished, the remaining answers, read left to right row by row will spell out the answer to the riddle.
