Are you beginning the concept of Geometry? More specifically, are you teaching quadrilaterals and their attributes? If so this is where you need to start.
The first PPT in this zipped file introduces your students to quadrilaterals and the attributes that classify them as a particular quadrilateral. There are foldable quadrilaterals for your students to paste into their notebooks and follow along by drawing in the attributes and writing the information under the flaps.
The second PPT follows up by helping students understand that attributes classify each quadrilateral, however, some quadrilaterals can be classified in several categories. There is an interactive activity at the end in which students show off their new knowledge.
The PDF is a file that allows students to check off the classification of each quadrilateral by category. Students also create critical thinking statements to help them with the classification. For example: "Every square can be a rectangle, but not all rectangles are squares."
If you have any questions, please contact me in the Q&A section. Thank you!
NOTE: This is a bundle of 2 Power Point presentations and a follow up PDF file. Both PPT are animated and have pages that can be printed as independent practice. Please be sure you have Power Point and Adobie PDF before purchasing.
