My students absolutely LOVE the quadrilateral design project.
This project was originally used in a Middle School (6-8), instructional math course. Upon the completion of exploring the attritubutes of different quadrilaterals, students are required to design a place (examples from students: stores, baseball fields, city skylines), that incooperates 5 different quadrilaterals. Students are then required to make a key, identifying the different quadrilaterals and their attributes.
The finished projects made amazing wall art for the rest of our geometry unit!
I also used a mini verion of this project to review quadrilaterals with my 6th and 7th grade students!
