What educators are saying

My 5th graders loved working on this sort. I was able to differentiate by varying the amount of information required to be written about each polygon. I think including a word bank would be helpful.

Description

Teach your students about classifying quadrilaterals while creating an interactive book! Students will love coloring and writing in their own book to learn about the characteristics of quadrilaterals. Students will fill in the blanks for type of quadrilateral. They also will have the opportunity to color in the title and images throughout the book.

There are two options: one that is blank with headings only and one with the description already written. Perfect to use with any students who have accommodations or students who are absent.

This is a fun, low-prep resource to help review for a test or use throughout your geometry unit.

Steps to Create the Classifying Quadrilaterals Book:

  1. Cut apart the pages.
  2. Staple the pages.
  3. Fill in the blanks.
  4. Color the book.
  5. Use the book as a reference throughout the unit.

Understand that attributes belonging to a category of two-dimensional figures also belong to all subcategories of that category. For example, all rectangles have four right angles and squares are rectangles, so all squares have four right angles.
