Many students struggle with all the properties of quadrilaterals. It doesn’t help that so much symbolism needs to be instantly recognizable in this unit. The Quadrilateral Hieroglyphics flash cards can help them make sense of the symbolism, recall the definitions/theorems, and can make learning more interactive.
This game board is printed on an 11” x 17” sheet of paper – one per group of 2-3 students. Students take turns choosing a square and answering the question. If they agree the answer is right, the student puts a game token (or initialed flash card that matches the answer from the Quadrilateral Hieroglyphics set) on the correctly answered spot on the board. If the answer is incorrect, a player can “steal the spot” and place their own token/flash card on it. Play continues until all questions are answered correctly. The player with the most correctly answered questions wins. Print page 3 (the key) to settle disputes.
