Help students SEE and REVIEW the attributes of quadrilaterals. These six quadrilateral posters will help students SEE the attributes of quadrilaterals, parallelograms, rectangles, squares, rhombuses, and trapezoids. Students notice that some shapes can have multiple names. A rectangle also can be called a parallelogram and a quadrilateral. Have students observe the posters and describe the attributes. A word bank is included to help foster math talk using terms like congruent, parallel, opposite, side, and angle. Hang these six posters around the room as a resource to help students see/review the different attributes and names of quadrilaterals. Posters are in black and white.
There are 18 ALWAYS, SOMETIMES, NEVER task cards with a recording sheet and an answer key. The task cards focus on different attributes. Students determine whether the statement is ALWAYS true, SOMETIMES true, or NEVER true. Students also can use the task cards as clip cards where students “clip” with clothespins the correct answer rather than record the answers on an answer sheet. To scaffold learning, students can use the posters.
NOTE: This product uses the Exclusive Definition of Trapezoid. This definition states that a trapezoid is a quadrilateral with EXACTLY one pair of opposite sides parallel.
