In this highly engaging resource, students learn about and compare the beliefs of Puritans and Quakers! Students learn how Quakers and Puritans viewed society, the role of women, slaves, Native Americans, the afterlife (Inner Light vs. Predestination) and much more! This product is now 1:1 Google compatible -- just share through Google or assign via Google Classroom!
Students examine two pages of information regarding Puritans and Quakers. First, students examine "You might be a Puritan if..." to learn several Puritan beliefs and traditions. Then, students examine "You might be a Quaker if..." to do the same with the Quaker faith. Students will complete a chart with the information they uncover before the final writing assignment.
Once complete, students respond to the overarching question, "Why were Quakers considered Progressives?" on the included writing prompt!
