Qualities of a Sharp Student Tab Book | Back to School Activity | Student Skills

Use this cactus-themed tab book with posters and rating scales to explicitly teach your students about the qualities that lead to student success at school: positive attitude, citizenship, responsibility, cooperation, work ethic, and perseverance. Each page of the tab book has a short passage about the trait, along with a rating scale for the students to use for self-reflection. Read each passage together and talk about the student quality and how it relates to your classroom. Hang the posters on the board as a reminder of the "Sharp Student" qualities. Then, throughout the school year, revisit the rating scale to check up and see how your students are doing in each area.

This resource includes:

1. Tab book with cover and six pages of student trait passages (attitude, citizenship, responsibility, cooperation, work ethic, perseverance)

2. (7) pages of mini-posters to represent each of the student qualities (for classroom display purposes)

3. Student rating scale page to be used throughout the school year for review and reinforcement

All parts of this tab book, including the posters, are in black and white. No color printing is required, but the pages look great printed on colored paper if desired.
