Product Description
●Option 1
Each student will pull two cards. They will then create a fraction using these cards. (Jack, Queen, and King will all equal 12). For example, if a student pulls a 2 and a queen, their fraction will read 2/12. The students are then to put these fractions into lowest terms.
●Option 2
Each student will pull two cards. They will then create a fraction using these cards. (Jack, Queen, and King will all equal 12). For example, if a student pulls a 2 and a queen, their fraction will read 2/12. The students, in partners, will add the two fractions together.
●Option 3
Each student will pull two cards. They will then create a fraction using these cards. (Jack, Queen, and King will all equal 12). For example, if a student pulls a 2 and a queen, their fraction will read 2/12. The students will then be asked to decompose these numbers. For example, if a student pulls a 3 and a 4, the student will write the fraction ¾. The student will then decompose this fraction: ¼+¼+¼=¾. The students will decompose the number in two or three different ways.
