These two question charts encourage students to think about anything in a variety of ways.
There are so many ways they can be used. I have used them for wonderings when tuning into a topic, picture chats to stimulate thinking and oral language, comprehension, prior knowledge, review of an activity, research questions ... the possibilities are endless!
They are also great for analysing the different types of questions and discussing higher order questions - I have done this with grade 5/6.
The times I have used these I never expect all boxes to be filled but at least one from each column. I have discovered that an empty row helps children put in the questions that may not fit into the other spaces.
