How to Use This Resource:
In this document, all standards are represented by a unique code abbreviation and list out related question stems and prompts. Common Core Literature standard 1 is represented by “L1”, Common Core Informational standard 1 is represented by “I1” and so forth.
Assigning as homework for further parent or guardian involvement:
If a teacher taught "L2" (Main idea, Theme and Summary), he or she would simply indicate the relevant code abbreviation,"L2", to the parent or guardian through any typical communication mode such as an agenda or take-home folder.
In the classroom:
If a teacher is focused on "L2" in class, he or she may direct students to answer the questions for "L2" ( as shown in the guide) for homework and have them use an independent reading book. These questions can be written on either a reader’s notebook, composition book, or even a blank sheet of paper.
