Open ended problem solving is an important part of Mathematic learning and development. I have put together a version of my "Number Search" game (changed the name) with multiple opportunities for success, by giving students different ways to achieve the answers they are looking for. Students are given specific "Answers" and must find them in a grid filled with numbers and functions. Students will surprise you with their ability to formulate equations that make sense to them...and to you.
Question Search 2 is a newer version of my "Number Search" game. In this version I have included my "Tetris" version, as it has been a hit in the classroom over the past few months, where students not only find the equations, but they must match certain Tetris pieces to boot. This is an awesome way to engage the learner and to see the different and unique ways students formulate answers. Although I do have an answer key...I did not include it, as there is really no need!
