Question words are difficult for English language learners. Trying to keep track of which question word will result in which type of answer can be confusing. This is a digital notes template for students to record information about each of the question words (who, what, when, where, why, which, how, how many). Students will click each question word, and then click the link that appears below the question word. This will take them to a slide where they can write a translation for the question word, tell what type of answer the question word will produce (i.e.: who gives a person answer), and write an example question and answer for each word. Each of the notes slides has a link back to the slide with all of the question words on it for navigation.
To use this activity, make a copy for each student and give them editing rights. Students must leave the notes in edit mode in order to complete them. After completion, students can put them into present mode and the links will allow them to navigate the slides and see what they recorded. If you wish to check their work, be sure to tell students how you want them to return the notes to you.
