This set of slides gives students practice using the five Wh- question words (who, what, when, where, why). The first two slides ask the students to match the wh– word with the type of answer it requires and a picture. The third slide asks students to match the wh– word with the correct question (there is a blank line instead of the wh– word). The fourth slide asks students to match the wh– word with a short answer. Answer keys are provided on slides 7-10.

To use this activity, first delete the answer keys. Then make sure each student gets his/her own copy, with editing rights. The activity must remain in editing mode (not present mode) in order to work. Be sure to give students directions as to how you want the activity returned to you.
