I have compiled lists of therapeutic questions to use with children or youth in counseling sessions. The topics are:
2- Feelings & Coping
3- Social Skills
4- Study skills
5- Self esteem
** Note: these questions can be adapted to use with pretty much any game. This is a great ice breaker and a way to focus on specific topics that the child may be struggling with.
Suggested setup for Jenga:
1) Print all the pages front-to-back
3) I used a label maker to put a # on every Jenga piece from 1-48. You can also use permanent marker.
4) Time to play! Choose a topic that relates best to the child you're working with and use that list of questions during the game. You (or the child) will push a Jenga piece out of the tower, and then will ask the other player the question that corresponds to the # that is on their chosen Jenga piece.
** Alternative way:
If your Jenga pieces are not numbered, you can pick a # FIRST (you or child closes their eyes and pieces a # on the sheet), asks the question to the other player, and then pushes a Jenga piece out of the tower.
