Our littlest learners learn through repetition and visuals. A great way to engage them while building independence is through a Question of the Day / Week.
The pattern sentence repeats for continued exposure and automaticity while changing the option for each day. The simple yes / no answer builds on the independence and the recognition of these common words. This can be added to your morning routine or as an entry activity while students arrive. This set includes a variety of mathematical representations of numbers. Check out the preview for a better idea!
Do you have # letters in your name…
1-6 dice showing pips
1-9 dominoes showing pips
1-10 tally marks
These can easily be used in pocket charts, magnetic boards, or even posted on bulletin boards. I find that I like the pocket chart option and each child gets a daily vote they can easily manage. If you use a bulletin board, clothes pins or velcro are great options for votes.
