This is a two-part lesson. First, have your students read "Álbum de mi viaje a Perú" in Realidades 1, Chapter 8A, pg 390. The first worksheet consists of comprehension questions in ENGLISH, that they can answer in English, to help them through the reading. Then, discuss the passage.
The 2nd worksheet is for a video from the Travel Channel about the Nazca Lines in Peru. Video link is included here and in the download. This is a great activity to get them reading and get them interested in Spanish-speaking destinations. I include another link to a video of google earth images of the Nazca Lines. Your students will be amazed at the mystery of the Nazca Lines!
If you do not use Realidades, you could simply use the Nazva Lines video and worksheet as a cultural activity.
