Product Description
Classic American short story "To Build a Fire" is possibly the best for teaching man vs. nature conflict. It is also fabulous for its symbolism. I also link it to the recent film "Into the Wild", in which the protagonist, Chris McCandless was inspired by Jack London. The kids LOVE the film. These questions have students critically reflect on the story's plot, symbolism and themes. Useful for grades 9 through 12.
