This is an activity that I do with my students at the beginning of class. Every student takes a turn pretending to be someone from the past or present. They write some clues out that they give to the class and the class can ask questions to try to figure out who the person is. I have a system where if someone in the class guesses right they win, and if the person giving the clues stumps the class then they win.
This is a great way to incorporate reading, writing, listening and speaking into the beginning of the class in a Minds On activity. Students do some writing and reading in advance, and they have to listen to the clues and the questions and answers provided to try to deduce who the person is while speaking to ask questions. My students love this activity - they look forward to it every French class.
