PRODUCT DESCRIPTION

Looking for another art lesson for your high school or middle school class? Introduce them to Jan Vermeer, and to charcoal.
Easy lesson. Give them some paper to practice charcoal strokes, then hand them a printed outline of The Guitar Player. Some of my students copied the image onto white paper using charcoal, while those too timid to try a hand at it were able to put the charcoal directly onto the copied sheet on regular photocopier paper.
Lesson plan with extra ideas included. Can be used for water colors, colored pencils and more. The less detailed outline can be used to study basic dark verses light shapes, an intro to art design, graphic design and modern art.
