Need easy to cut out articulation pictures to use open ended with any craft or activity? These quick pages are easy to cut out for students and no prep for you! Perfect for speech therapy sessions.
This activity was designed to be a simple, no-prep activity to target articulation. This version includes the following sounds: initial/mediial/final: k. The full version includes the following sounds: initial/mediial/final: k, g, l, s; initial: h, y, v, j; initial/final: p, b, m, n, z; final t, d; pre-vocalic r, vocalic r, initial sblends, medial/final sblends, lblends, and CVC words (separate pages for short a, e, i, o u, & mixed).
These pictures can be used open-ended with any craft you want to add articulation pictures to. They were designed to be easy to cut out for young students. I found that some of my students got overwhelmed with a lot of things to cut out, this is why I limited the targets to six in this product. I have other crafts with more targets.
Each page has 6 pictures with cutting lines around them, a word list with cutting lines around it, and a “My Sound” heading that the students can fill in and cut out.
Simple craft idea: The student will color, cut out, and glue the pictures on a piece of construction paper while practicing the words (the therapist will determine the number of trials per word). I have my students cut out the “My Sound” strip and write their sound on it. I also have them glue the word list on the bottom of their paper so their parents can review it with them at home. You could also have your students write the words under each picture.
