Product Description
Believe it or not, money does not appear in the Common Core Standards until Grade Two. The Grade Two standard assumes the students have some background in money (value of coins, how to count it). Whether you are a Kindergarten or First Grade teacher looking to give kids exposure to money concepts OR a Second Grade teacher easing students into the money CCSS, this packet will help!! In this set of pages, your students will be asked to show an amount of money in four different coin combinations. They will also be asked to include one way that shows the fewest possible coins to be used. This activity would be great for a math center or for a whole class lesson. I am referencing the CCSS for Grade Two with this free activity because it give students some work towards that standard. Thanks... and happy money counting!! Lisa Buchholz
